In addition to his busy law practice, Mr. Roche is also a published author.
He has written several books and articles relating to the practice of law, including the Virginia Torts Case Finder, which is considered an excellent reference material used by lawyers and judges. This book was published by LexisNexis, the largest law publisher in the country.
He also wrote Law 101, published by Sphinx Publications, which answers many common legal questions affecting non-lawyers. He has co-authored a book published by the Virginia Law Foundation Objections: Interrogatories, Depositions and Trial, which is a book written by a trial lawyer for trial lawyers.
Additionally, Mr. Roche has authored several articles which have been published in the Journal of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and Virginia Bar News.
Bar Admissions & Professional Qualifications
Mr. Roche belongs to the American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Maryland State Bar. He is also a member of the Fairfax County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
In 1986, Mr. Roche was appointed and continues to serve as a Commissioner in Chancery for the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, Virginia where he serves as a judicial officer hearing certain types of chancery cases.
Education
Mr. Roche earned his Juris Doctor in 1976 from George Washington University National Law Center. Mr. Roche also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown.
From 1970-1976, Mr. Roche served as a member of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve. From 1971 to 1975 he was a uniformed patrol officer with the Washington, D. C. Police Department (MPDC).
His and his wife raised their seven children in Northern Virginia.
