Matt Mary Moran, Inc., 259 Va. 412, 525 S.E.2d 559.Trial court was correct in sustaining Demurrer to wrongful death action which asserted theories of common-law negligence and negligence per se against restaurant and its bartender who allegedly served alcohol to two intoxicated persons under the age of 21. Defendant’s act of furnishing alcohol was not proximate cause of death.

1986 Williamson v. Old Brogue, Inc., 232 Va. 350, 350 S.E.2d 621.Retail seller of alcohol is not liable in damages for providing alcoholic drinks to customer who, while intoxicated, injures third person in motor vehicle accident.
