1986 Wallen v. Allen, 231 Va. 289, 343 S.E.2d 73. 

Defendant admitted liability, causation and damages. Court properly allowed evidence as to circumstances of accident to show nature of impact and extent of trauma to which plaintiff was exposed. 

1960 Stimeling v. Goodman, 202 Va. 111, 115 S.E.2d 923. 

Estimate for repair cost of auto offered to show severity of impact. No property damage claim made. Held: inadmissible. 

1955 Crist v. Coach Co., 196 Va. 642, 85 S.E.2d 213. 

Extent of personal injury may be evidence of a sudden or violent jolt or jerk.
