1971 Edwards v. Sykes, 211 Va. 600, 179 S.E.2d 902.

Jury should be instructed that mortality table introduced in evidence is to be considered, but it is not conclusive or binding. Model instruction stated.

1968 State Farm Mut. Ins. Co. v. Futrell, 209 Va. 266, 163 S.E.2d 181.

Plaintiff’s counsel read to jury from code mortality table. While this is not approved procedure it is not reversible error.

1964 Eisenhower v. Jeter, 205 Va. 159, 135 S.E.2d 786.

In wrongful death case proof of life expectancy by mortality tables is not necessary.

1955 Gough v. Shaner, 197 Va. 572, 90 S.E.2d 171.

Age, health, sex, and mental capacity of decedent being proved, jury is entitled to judge his life expectancy without aid of mortality tables.
