Pushing Vehicle-Cases
1959 Miller v. Query, 201 Va. 193, 110 S.E.2d 198.No statute prohibits pushing one vehicle by another. Jury issue presented as to whether defendant negligent in pushing vehicle, in this instance in rain at night, with stalled vehicle having no headlights or windshield wipers.
1954 Burton v. Oldfield, 195 Va. 544, 79 S.E.2d 660.Plaintiff’s decedent struck and killed by defendant’s auto while he was helping to push disabled vehicle along highway late at night. Evidence was conflicting as to speed of defendant’s car, as to whether taillight was burning, and as to whether car was being pushed along side or center of road.
